What’s it like to be you?

I’m curious :)

If you've ever read To Kill A Mockingbird, it's like being Boo Radley. Imagine being so different from everybody that you don't fit in anywhere because no one can relate to you. You get demonized, shunned, or ignored due to people's assumptions because no one is willing to do the work or take the time to understand you. Even people you've known for years completely mischaracterize you because these stories they tell themselves are more flattering to their egos than the reality.

You become a misanthrope and recluse because all you've ever seen is the worst of humanity, but you're still as much of a social creature as they are so all you ever feel is the lack. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't, and are forced to be an outsider looking in.

Oh well, at least my dog likes me

@Poppies Well she likes everybody, so it's not that special. I'm lucky to have her though
