@Montanaman The heck 😅 down here in south Europe it's still way colder than it should be, but definitely nowhere close to snow-level cold. Last year at this time of the year I was wearing shorts and t-shirts, this year I'm still with late-fall/early-spring clothing

In a rural part of Alabama between two small towns. The town about 12 miles to the north has a Walmart and several fast food places, the town about 12 miles to the south is just about dried up, I think they still have a grocery store and a dollar store or two but that's about it.

@SW-User Not really, but it has many fewer earthquakes, wild fires, people than California, much better prices on most things (esp. housing, gas etc .), we are not on the verge of water problems here (yet), and it has my Mother.
