Do you ever lie to your family and/or thise around you about your eating/drinking habiits? [I Am Just Curious]

Since I'm a fat lady, I often get accused of bad eating habits, like drinking sodas every day. I've only drunk a few sips of soda at my 4th birthday party, didn't like it, so have never drunk the stuff. If I say, "But I don't drink soda!" they tell me, "That's what my sister used to say. Until my other sister found big boxes of soda hidden in her closet, and then she finally admitted to is she drank several bottles a day." I've heard these stories so much I've come to the conclusion that hiding foods and eating them secretly must be commonplace for some overweight people. Seems sad to me, pathetic, that anyone would feel so intimidated that they would hide food in a closet. I am wondering how common it is. I would never do anything like that, though some of the people I've talked to have convinced me they've had a relative do it. So, does anyone here have a story like that? Have you, or a relative, ever done anything like that? Or are you still doing it? What do you think would happen if you got caught? Wouldn't it be simpler to eat what you want without treating it like a CIA mission?

I don’t know what’s wrong with people to get into your business and accuse you of such habits if they don’t live with you and see what you eat and drink. Some people have slow metabolisms or take medication that messes with it or maybe their liver needs a detox from cleaning chemicals or whatever. So many things. Some people do hide foods and eat a lot or binge eat. Sugar creates a hunger hormone that makes you crave it more. And they dope up a lot of processed foods with MSG which stimulates the appetite. I did have a sister who was binge-eating huge amounts of ice cream and then she would purge herself of it. We’d get a carton or two of ice cream at the grocery store and before anyone else had a bite it was gone. I couldn’t understand how she could be slender and not gain weight. Found out when she was 30 that she was making herself vomit.
