Childhood might be too short for the amount of decades of adulthood.

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I work in social work and we've been saying for years that there's too much pressure on youngsters to 'grow up' too fast.

Much of that down to the fact that because of money pressure both parents are spending more time at work than enjoying the time they have with their children while they are actually children.

We've all got horror stories of things we've heard; seen or read about on this.

May also explain the malaise middle-aged folk feel having brought up their children and having somehow managed to steer them through all the teenage trauma only to see them move away because of affordable housing or jobs in different places once they reach adulthood.

it used to be nearly evenly divided, in most places. and childhood was shorter too. most people are adults far longer than they were children nowadays, tho. yeah

@pentacorn my point is is that being an adult is such a drag.. atleast right now to me it is… I lived through my exploratory 20s and it was fun. But now I’m my 30s I’m not so sure what’s entertaining anymore? Working is work. Have a bf so don’t need to really go search and date anymore. Don’t wanna be up too late anymore partying cause all the naughty things like booze and smoking aren’t priority to me anymore… 🤷‍♀️
