I just remembered this. "You're talking like a little thug"

I think I was maybe all of 7 years old. It was summer vacation and we were out back on the porch swing. It was on this little concrete pad poured in the yard. My brother and I were squabbling like siblings do. I don't remember about what exactly but we were getting loud. I told him to get off my turf loud enough that my mom heard me. The windows were open and I swear I never saw her move so fast. She comes outside marches right up to me and asks me what did I just say. I repeated it and got popped in the mouth. She demanded to know where I heard that from and how she wasn't going to let me go around talking like some little thug. To this day I don't know where I picked it up from exactly. I probably heard it on tv or read it somewhere but I truly couldn't tell you.
