Boogie man under the bed. I ended up being given a flashlight so I could check under there before I went to sleep.

@cherokeepatti i would wake up and hold the covers over my head and make sure i was well tucked in in case something came out from under my bed. I never told anyone my fears
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ronisme1 I would wake up with nightmares so everyone knew. Got banned from watching Twilight Zone after the werewolf peeked in the plane window scene. Had some terrible nightmares after that. And it didn’t help when my uncle would tease us and tell us the Boogie Man would get us if we didn’t go to sleep.

@cherokeepatti there was a peeking tom that tried to look in our window. Just me and my brothers stayed in that room
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ronisme1 That is very scary. Probably a pedo trying to scope out a victim.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti yeah, we were all boys, i didnt understand as was too young at the time
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ronisme1 It’s terrible to be scared in your own room. Did you put something over the windows so no one could look inside?
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti they could no way see in, there was a blind so i dont know. Just was scared of the monsters under the bed. Not sure where that fear came from
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ronisme1 If it was mini-blinds they can see in if the blinds are turned a certain way. We lived in an apartment complex and a neighbor’s teen boy got behind the hedge (all the windows had a hedge next to them to prevent this but he managed to do it anyway). The next day he told her he saw her dancing around in her room in her underwear and described her panties.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti who was her? And no, the pull down solid type
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ronisme1 We were at home. I checked her blinds after that to make sure they were pulled down to the very bottom of the window sill and the blades turned up. If the blades were turned down a person could possibly see through the tiny open slivers.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti your daughter, sorry. That works on the bottom floor but not on the 2nd floor.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@ronisme1 i open my blinds like that at home
