What are some ideas or beliefs that you had as a child and you are ashamed of them now?

We believe all sorts of silly things that turn out to be false, can you give me an example of yours?

Perhaps not the most shameful thing, but I believed that adults had everything figured out and that they knew what's best.

@kimmy159 my oldest is 10 and then 6 and 4. I am trying to make them think on their own. At their own pace - of course, they still that feeling of safety that comes with the belief that their father known EVERYTHING :D

I thought if I said 'hell' a certain amount of times I would go there. Turns out all I had to do was apply and they pay mw to go there.

@Nebula :D I had something similar, someone convinced me that if I call a certain phone number at midnight, there would be horrific events. Nothing more specific, just "horrific events". Kids are stupid ;)

When little I believed that we would make this planet a better place as time went on.

@SW-User oh, this one is so true and so sad at the same time - but definitely not embarrassing - you should be proud of it and remain optimistic (I am not sure I am)
