Admitting it is the first step to recovery

Does that go for any illness? If I admit that I’m not well and my head is full of suicidal thoughts is that a step to getting better?

I believe being honest with yourself that something is wrong, and truly accepting it is the the first step. You can't attempt to get better if you don't believe there is a problem. What doesn't exist, can't be fixed.
