Do you think the money changers in the temple from the Bible ever thought,

Did I really make Jesus whip my ass? Am I the ass hole?

Do people know who the modern day money changers are? Stock traders, bond dealers, financial institutions of all types, credit card companies to name some common ones.

Yes, but they're not doing their business in the house of God.

@calicuz Good point! Still, I cannot see how God would approve of what the financial institutions have done to too many people.

No, God does not approve, but their fault is simple greed. This particular story is to teach about disrespecting God, by using the sanctuary o God as a place to make money and do business, sorta like the way the Church, is conducting business now. Today's preachers are only interested in getting rich from the ministry.

@calicuz I do understand the lesson. I am also taken aback by the mega churches and televangelists. I don't know why people can't see what they are doing.

I don't think people are looking for God, I think they just want everyone to think they are good people just because they go to church.

@calicuz They seem mesmerized by these "religious leaders". They have almost cult-like control of the people. I hate to see people exploited like that.
