It's a quarter after midnight, and here I am in the waiting room of the Newberg ER.

Dad has been out of sorts all day.

Well, more like all month.

I know it's to do with his heart, but there's nothing we can do about that, because before he can get surgery, he has to have nine teeth removed.

And he won't.

So I'm here in the middle of the night, waiting for the results of blood work and a CT, because his legs kept giving out on him.

Update:

We left the ER at 3:00 a.m. The doctors did a CT, a chest X-ray, blood glucose testing, and several other tests on him that took half the night, but they couldn't find a reason why his legs are suddenly giving out under him. They recommended physical therapy, which is in keeping with my observation that he doesn't walk nearly enough.
