"Salmonella? Don't be silly! It's chicken, not salmon!"

Your old buddy Shadowfire is under the weather today. My own damn fault, as it turns out.

The chicken thighs I cooked last night for dinner didn't all reach a safe temperature, but I couldn't be sure they hadn't at least gotten there in the oven, because when I took the Corning dish out of the oven, the tray stuck to the bottom. (Apparently, there was too much liquid in the Corning dish and it overflowed.) So some pieces of chicken registered in the 180s, and some registered 155 or less, and I just sort of assumed they had all reached a temperature of 165 at some point.

Given the fact that I am now in hour 12 of a case of the trots and have a headache and temperature, I think I guessed wrong.
