A Reflection on Silence

Silence can be grey, but it can be golden too.

I've had creepy silences with the hair standing up on the backside of my neck. The eerie quiet.

And then there's the relaxing solitude.
Being still while still feeling connected, not isolated.
A sense of just peacefully feeling and being in the moment. The relaxed stillness inside.

I've found the key difference for me is serenity.

Silence can be comforting. Then again, I had four kids. 😂😂😂

Often it's the space between the words that brings the most comfort...

@Convivial I'm not even speaking of conversation. The breeze through the pines. The movement of the waves. The sounds of the forest. Everything is alive.

silence rhymes better with silver than gold, but I loved reading that anyways 🤍

@Boeing ah, in English we often say "silence is golden" as a saying, but usually as in to mind one's speech. I used a different interpretation.

@basilfawlty89 I know, we've got a similar saying in greek about silence and gold, but the sound is different. I understand what you meant, just said something else..
