Today is called Thawziath or Thimachart in Tamazight. It is the day of the 15th night of Ramadan and it is exclusively an Amazigh celebration

Regardless of religion, those of us who are regarded as rich, we gather and pay or provide food for the entire city/town/villages few days before to distribute them today. We start with the homes of the underprivileged and extend to the rest of the city.

It is meant to give to those in need without making them feel singled out.
