I claim the right to live in a world that honors humanity without exception.

You cannot fight for others, if you do not fight for yourself. Yet to fight for oneself is to fight for all. Freedom and dignity will always be incomplete unless it belongs to every person everywhere.

If one ever exists, we’ll let you know.

@Morvoren Why do you think it is given by you?
Morvoren · F
@Miram Given to me? I don’t live in a world like that. And I don’t believe we ever will.

A simple answer is there can’t be honour for humanity while we all think differently to each other - what we value as important and right and wrong.

And even if someone did have the power to make us all think the same, should I surrender pieces of myself to accept that?

@Morvoren

Those are limitations you’ve placed on yourself and shouldn't be attempting to place them on me, letting me know and all..

Notice I didn’t ask whether such a world exists. Nor does this thread indicate I fail to consider the obstacles that might test MY belief.

As with many noble pursuits, the value lies in the striving, not necessarily in the achieving. It is the striving that will shape character. Something that has been stated thousands of times. And much of what we deem rights are not arbitrary, they are universal, shared by all of humanity.

@Miram I haven’t attempted to place anything on you. I’m telling you my position in response to an assumption you made about me.

Just letting you know.
