No I don't believe that. You are not unlovable. You can be deeply loved regardless of how you feel about yourself.
The whole 'love yourself' cliché is over exaggerated. It's a horrible precedence mainstream has set up. To me, it merely means respect and value yourself as a human.

@Magenta You're right. it's as cliche as "Think positive" and just as dehumanizing.

@twistedrope 😊 Dehumanizing is the perfect word.

nobody will love you if you don’t love yourself
I do not think that is true,i'd say most people don't love themselves yet they are loved.
I think you have to love yourself because you are with yourself from the begining til the end.
You have to love yourself to know your worth and you can choose the right person to love,to know what love really is and how to show it.

No. Loving yourself is embracing the authentic you. It’s knowing your worth. You can love on your terms instead of changing yourself for others. No one is unloveable and you can love abundantly without loving yourself; however, loving without loving yourself is cheating you out of how precious and valuable you are.

I doubt babies love themselves. They probably don't even know they exist. Same with cats. You don't need to love yourself before you can love another. The premise is wrong and so is any logic coming off it.
Just because a stupid thing is widely accepted, doesn't mean its right.
