Do you know anyone who may not like him or herself but wouldn't have it any other way?

It's sort of like a radical self-acceptance or a hard-won authenticity. It describes a state where a person acknowledges their flaws and dislikes them, but has accepted them as integral to their identity and wouldn't choose to be anyone else - - (a tip of the hat to Google AI)

@jshm2

You are not wishy-washy - that's for sure.

Perhaps me.. I am very well aware of my shadow - darker aspect. Mainly jealousy, victimhood and also a wall surrounds my heart in some particular cases hindering my ability to listen fully. And a hell lot of grief and sensitivity for minor stuffs too .
But I accept them.
Not because I am going to be like this but because only through acceptance I can transform them. There is no other way.
Its the part of my wholeness.

At least you put a "perhaps" in there... :)

If we were two exceptional lawyers or debaters - on opposite sides - we could argue our cases til the cows come home. That post is (perhaps!) arguing for the "damn my detractors! I gotta be me" side.

@rinkydinkydoink lol. Waste of energy that would be.
@Shibalaha

I think almost all debates are.
