does anyone else hate expressing emotion

emotion. Whether it be anger, sadness, empathy whatever, i hate it, don't feel comfortable with it at all and would rather be ' emotionless', i've never liked emotions or having to express them.

what do you think about this?

I hate having surpressed them for so long I'm not able to properly express them, even after years of therapy.

@TheRealBarbossa do they call that emotion regulation? i have heard of that problem, hope you get better with it.

@durinsBane1983 something like that. It's not bad enough to be diagnosed on its own, but bad enough to be referred to as "mixed personality disorder" with a few other issues on top of the emotional stuff.

Probably stems from being raised by a mom with borderline. (A shrink agreed with that theory when I asked)

@TheRealBarbossa never heard of ' mixed personality disorder' and i've been in the mental health system a very long time and know of a lot of the personality disorders, does that mean someone who has been diagnosed with more than one personality disorder?
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@durinsBane1983 it means there are significant traits of 2 or more disorders, but not enough to name the specific ones.

I hadn't heard of it myself until i learned I have avoidant pd AND mixed.

Edit: I've been in the system 22 years, for reference

@TheRealBarbossa right, well i'm 48 now and been in the system since 16 years old, so very long, do you get decent care for your mental problems?
