Of those 4, I would choose K-Mart. The store I really miss is Sears who merged with K-Mart in 2005.

@BrewCityBarfly Kmart had been in trouble for years. Why did Sears think such a merger would be a good idea?
Especially because it is typical that when entities merge, the "Good" one tends to get dragged down to the "Faulty" one's level.
Kind of like when our parents told us, "Do not hang out with so and so, they will just drag you down with them."

@Punches Good analogy.

@Punches @BrewCityBarfly Sears didn't get a lot of choice in the matter. Kmart actually bought them. Buying Sears gave them the Craftsman brand which is still a big name today. As Kmart was going under they sold the Craftsman brand to Stanley Tools.

@Musicman True. It was as if they didn't know what to do with the brands, and proceeded to kick them to the curb every step of the way. I knew when they sold off Craftsman it was the end...

@BrewCityBarfly Yes. You can't sell off your big money makers and survive.

@BrewCityBarfly They also had the Kenmore appliance brand too.

@Musicman Those were great brands. Still using my old Craftsman push mower, tools, and have fond memories of my Kenmore fridge, oven, washer, and dryer. I loved my old Kenmore electric stove, it had the best simmer. The fridge was still going strong after 20+ years and moving into the basement of the (then) new place. Wonder if the dude that bought it is still using it.

@BrewCityBarfly Sears definitely had some great brands. Their stuff seemed to hold up well too. You had confidence in them.
