I want the K-Mart I remembered as kid. Not the Big K when they were dying


This was a typical K-Mart we used to shop at we I was kid

@HumanEarth It is nostalgic NOW but when it was around, it was as much an embarrassment as walmart is today. Basically synonymous with low quality junk.

I always thought people were just saying that when I was a kid but one day I saw this commercial.
It shows the CEO walking one of the stores and talking about revamping the place because people want to be proud of where they shop.

I thought, "Ahh so it IS a problem."

@Punches Truth be told Walmart, Target, K-Mart, Woolworths, Gimbel's, Goldmann's, Benjamin Franklin, and countless others stores all carried the same stuff.

They had were all known discount stores. So of course your going to get what you pay for at them kind of stores

Gimbel's & Goldmann's them two were geared more between the lower and upper middle class incomes. But did carry some crappy junk to for the poor to buy when they would shop for the holidays
