Tell me your number 1 (or 3) fear(s).

Why?
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
Nooo there's too much negativity on my mind already.
The loss of loved ones.
Being ill and homeless.
Getting dementia.
astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard you touched a little on mine, too. Getting old scares me like mad because of all the health issues that come along with it. Dementia? That's only one of them and it also terrifies me. My grandmother developed dementia in the last 5 or so years of her life. She had gotten to the point where she didnt recognize 75% of the family. It's so sad... and it terrifies me that I could develop it in my later years..
@astrosandorbits I just watched my mother go through it, and then she passed away last year. But it was much like losing her before her actual death. 🥺

@Pretzel man heights creep me out too. And depths also. The depth of the ocean terrifies the hell out of me
That I’m going to be miraculously cured. 😂
Why is that a fear? Because it would mean that I’m to continue on without home for Lord-knows-how-much longer.
KatyO83 · 41-45, F
I drink again.
My ex carries out his threats.
I get a chronic illness that severely impacts my life.
astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
@KatyO83 you got this. You cant control your ex, but you can control your drinking. Stay away from the bottle and your life will be so much better :)
Also... im someone who developed a chronic illness before i was even 20. It severely impacted my life, but it also made me stronger. If it ever happened to you (and let's pray it doesnt) then maintain a positive perspective. Because that changes most everything for the better.

Good luck!

Losing people
Being alone
astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
@SophSmiles it's a fact of life that people come and go in life. The ones that really matter are a different story. It takes a lot of work to nurture meaningful relationships. There are those with a foundation of unconditional love and those people are the ones that really matter (family, close friends, etc.).
I would say dont be afraid of being alone. In loneliness one can find solitude. In solitude one can find independence, motovation, self worth, etc.
Best of luck to you

That my sister won't improve with her two debilitating diseases, that I won't find self love,( in order to feel worthy of others love), or that I'll die young. 🙁

astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
@V00doo im not a parent, but my mom always told me her biggest fear was that someone would take her three kids away from her. And i think this fear helped her become the best mom ever. Best of luck to you
