My 20’s and 30’ - Just finished grad school. Was in the absolute best shape of my life. Had a job that was challenging but, engaging and unlike any other. I was newly married and was still naive enough to believe in true love and that it would last forever. The world was filled with promise.

@blackarcher256 you're not the only one to say this about once believing in true love. Now that you are older how have things changed for you? Does the world still seem full of promise?

@astrosandorbits I divorced after 32 years of marriage. The last 10 of that was entirely sexless, completely devoid of any physical intimacy or warmth. But I’m free…it’s been a lonely road at times…but I’m feeling my way along…coming alive again….experiencing joy that hasn’t been present in my life for a very long time. But no, the world doesn’t seem to hold that promise that it did in my 20’s and 30’s.
