What if the radiotherapy burns on my face aren’t as bad as I think?

Desmond always says I’m beautiful. He does make me feel beautiful whenever he’s worshiping my body but sometimes he’s able to make me second-guess how ugly I feel about my face. He’ll cup my face in his hand and caress my cheeks while looking me directly in the eye and tell me I’m beautiful. Even if it kinda hurts when he touches my burn scars directly, I can tell he really believes in what he tells me. I hate to admit it, but he really has me thinking twice about my face.
