Getting tired of these obvious suicides being pushed as missing persons.

I passed this mural last week for another missing girl and took a picture of it. I don't like doing sesrches for them, vs a obvious hostage situation, because in a hostage case they are obviously still alive (for the time being), and are under incredible duress.

In the case of a missing teen, they could be kidnapped yes, but there is a 99% probability what I'm dealing with is a run away who for whatever reason doesn't want to be found, or I'll puece enough of the puzzle together and come across their remains, which I just so don't want to do. Especially if I'm dealing with a dumb cop, I could become the primary suspect for finding the remains when they couldn't. Dumb cops are a real phenomena.

So after sitting on this for a week fewling guilted, I got a couple of near identicle matches to her..... in Africa. This girl dissapeared in a poor neighborhood in Pittsburgh, so likely councidental.

Then I start looking into her case, and she was seen visibly depressed, on New Years Eve, and her cellphone pinged near a bridge, and a few hours later a guy bicycling by found a backpack with her phone and ID in it and her shoes next to it.

Obviously she jumped. She was a "artist", and everyone knows the type. Her boyfriend lived with her, but I don't know if it was him who broke up with her (he didn't do the obvious calling up friends and family asking where she was on New Years) or if it was a broken date wkth someone else. We've all seen how silly these young women get when they turn suicidal over nothing, stuff a more experienced adult would shrug off. "OMG, My life is over, guy I liked saw my zit, gotta end it".

So while I'm going over the expected reddits, I see NBC News on the national level decided to do investigative reporting on this, and a bjg headed celebrity congress woman got involved, and people from the LGBTQ++,+++,+++ community started claiming gays are being overly targeted for kidnappings.....

No. People are not running around snatching dykes. Half of them I've seen are really over weight, so it would requires a team effort of several guys and a cargo man to grab them and drag their 🐋 butts into it. Who would want a heavily tat fat chick with multiple piercings and green hair, if you can literally have the pick of anyone on the street?

These women are most likely just hooking up and drifting away from friends, probably with a actual guy who wouldn't fit in too well back at the lesbian bar. They just cut contact. Or they commit suicide depressed the heck out they aren't going to have a normal life.... no kids, no real purpose, alot of weird emotional friction from mental and drug issues. Trannies are the worst. I used to have to step over them sleeping on the street half dead from drugs on the 600 block of jones street in San Francisco. They die real easily. It isn't a prejudice against the LGBT+++++++ community, but rather a rejection that most are in reality quite mentally ill, even when everyone supports them. So they never get help, infact psychologists are afraid to help them in many cases. So they self help, self medicate. And it sends them down a slippery slop. I know a few trannies who are now definately dead, just nobody put up much of a search for them. The Oakland and Golden Gate Bridge is literally right there. Doesn't make sense to do a full scuba search of the bay everytime one vanishes.

So I don't like this noise. It's obvious she committed suicide. Small chance she didn't, but I can't imagine a kidnapper caring to set up her belonging nicely on a bridge like that, including her shoes.

These cases are always weird and heart breaking, but they are a bad distraction from real cases that could be solved if they got the better attention. Just some personality types draw alot of extroverted relationships out after a death like this and the community reacts overboard. Usually with a bidy you have a funeral and closure. But really, NBC News and a silly celebrity big headed congresswoman? NBC News at the very least should of known this was a obvious suicide. I wksh people would elect better politicians who wouldn't try to waste the time of those who specialize in searching for people. And she isn't the first congress woman to waste my time with a plea like this.

I'm hoping someday google's AI filters these cases out and promotes real cases of lressing concern, of people likely to be found, like a missing mother who gets nabbed on camera in a parking lot. The emotive weight of one individual such as this girl can monopolize the whole network of sympathy a society is capable of giving at one time, and it can distract from the sound logic inherent in better cases. But the way we present most missing cases is absurd.... it's a black and white photo on a paper missing sign and very little usuabke information. It's like some standard designed by a judge back in the 1800s.

Rant over, at least I don't have to stumble on skme decayed corpse in the woods.

85000 kids have vanished from across the border, under the ppl who are supposed to vet and process them. and nobody batts an eye.
theyve just fed kids directly to child sex traffickers.
one of bidens first actions was to remove DNA swab requirements. when some dood drags a kid across the border and claims its theirs...

we cant vote our way out of hell...
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I follow more the international sex trade. I know sex trafficking is happening in the US, and know my hotel is freaked out about it, but it's difficult within the US because some states like New York State have laws that if you give them tips on a crime or case without them asking you (or the public) for help, they can arrest you. So it has to be a "case", in otherwords something they are already looking into, and they have to make overtures. I call these Pro-Terrorism Laws. It's a very liberal thing.

In international affairs with hostages much easier, you don't have to deal with bad actor states like NYC, and instead you just research the local legal and police/military to see if someone is competently trained with jurisdiction. How you can tell if they are comletently trained is I watch videos on their unit training- if the unit I'm expecting to show up looks at least like they are equivelent to 1990s US light infantry platoons in execution of door to door maneuvers, I'll give them a uneasy passing grade, if they have something more akin to SWAT the better. If I find cases of them abjsing prisoners, like in Egypt where they make prisoners in jail squat down on water bottles till it enters them, I don't contact them.

Problem with the sex trade in particular is, especially in third world countries, cops not only know about it, they are often customers. I had this lroblem tracking down a russian girl in bangladesh years back. I found the woman, but I also found one of the cops in a pic right outside the shop (yes, you can shop in these slave brothels too sometimes).

Eventually Google will come out with a AI able to do what I do, and will just start solving crimes one day out of the blue. Think NYPD will show up and try to arrest all the google engineers operating within NYC. "We didn't ask for your help, you're going to jail".

@Dignaga sounds like the nypd unit for that is corrupt and sheltering the crooks.. typical of dirty departments to be paid off and take cuts or privileges from the criminals instead of busting them. Why else would they take offense to them being reported or investigated? It's suspicious.
@GoFish It was done on state level. State law.

@Dignaga PC stuff i presume? Canada and Britain are full of it too imo
@GoFish No, I don't think political correctness has anything to do with it at all. They likely had a case that was blown by a civilian who presented information to the police, and then went to the media when they didn't act on it. 50-50% chance it was a nutjob, but 75% chance it made the police look really bad in a scandal and so they passed a very unconstitutional law (freedom of speech, right to petition) saying if you report stuff to us we don't solicit out for, you get in trouble.

Of course they have adopted anonymous tip lines, etc, but the info I gather is rather complex. I don't just give a location but also basics on what unit size and rudimentry tactics they will need, in relationship to topography and known habits, people/groups you can enlist to help, etc. That's alot of complex info for a tip line. I'm planning on going to live in NYC soon, but won't be helping out on the local level. Might in NJ or New England if the laws are better, liberal and conservative states tend to copy each others legislation in quick succession whenever one does something. Alot of copycatting.

As to the UK, I've done crkwn subjects but no UK residents. I wouldn't trust the local police, not because they are corrupt (not), or because they can't investigate (they can), but rather because these cases are too comllex even for a munincipal police chief of a large city to handle. I'd have to look up exactly what M5 does, track down a unit competent in the tactics needed, and hope to find a administrative department able to coordinate them with forensics and handle the military/civilian division most western societies put a firewall up between, cause you gonna have to cross it, if they feel they lack jurisdiction. If they feel they lack jurisdiction, I don't want it handed over to a local, mostly unarmed police force who's police captain mostly concerns himself with traffic tickets and dealing with traffic jams. I'd like the very best of the best possible. US FBI has a platoon sized element stationed on the east coast (took them a few hours to fly out and respond to a crisis in texas..... they looked like basic infantry doing police work. I wouldn't say SWAT level even, but they have access to the whole of the FBI and can tap into related agencies so they are useful. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them, but I'd be a tiny bit skeptical when they show up. I face palmed myself watching them raid a building- they rushed in and shot the hostage taker, and THEN cut the power to the building after it was secured. I'm watching video of this thinking WTH? Not Seal Team 6 sorta stuff.
