My back and legs were hurting, and I needed to get out of bed.

@exexec Don't you absolutely hate that. ☹️ I hope you are feeling better soon.
exexec · 61-69, C
@Musicman thanks. Standing and walking help the pain go down, so I am much better while I use my standup desk and laptop.

@exexec Excellent! 🙂 When I have bad nights like that I get up and come out to my recliner. That always makes me feel better.

@Musicman I tried that a few nights ago, but the recliner made me bend in the wrong places. Lying on the couch with my legs raised is my most comfortable place.

@exexec Then the couch it is. My problems are my lower back and my left shoulder. The doctor says I need a total shoulder replacement, but he wants me to be a little older first. He says they only last about 15 years and he doesn't want to have to do it twice. I like to roll when I sleep. Sometimes my shoulder really aches and wakes me up.

@Musicman I had my right shoulder replaced about seven years ago. I hope yours works as well as mine did when you have it done.

@exexec What was it like? Having it done?

@Musicman The surgery, itself, wasn't bad. I was warned that rehab would be painful, but I had no problem at all. I think it was because I tried to keep as much motion as possible before the surgery. It was highly inconvenient having a useless arm for a few weeks. I have had two knee replacements, also, and the shoulder was slightly painful than the knees for the first couple of weeks. Overall, it was not a bad experience, and my new shoulder works great.

@exexec That's great news 🙂 I definitely worry about only being able to use one hand for a couple of months.

@Musicman You figure out ways to do things. (Don't tell anybody, but I cheated and did a few things I wasn't supposed to do.)
Musicman · 61-69, M
@exexec You are a bad boy 😂
exexec · 61-69, C
@Musicman I know. So now Lynn makes sure she knows what the doctor says I should and shouldn't do. It makes it harder for me to break the rules.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@exexec Does she keep you on the straight and narrow? 🙂
exexec · 61-69, C
@Musicman Yes, darn it.
