My back and legs were hurting, and I needed to get out of bed.

@exexec Then the couch it is. My problems are my lower back and my left shoulder. The doctor says I need a total shoulder replacement, but he wants me to be a little older first. He says they only last about 15 years and he doesn't want to have to do it twice. I like to roll when I sleep. Sometimes my shoulder really aches and wakes me up.

@Musicman The surgery, itself, wasn't bad. I was warned that rehab would be painful, but I had no problem at all. I think it was because I tried to keep as much motion as possible before the surgery. It was highly inconvenient having a useless arm for a few weeks. I have had two knee replacements, also, and the shoulder was slightly painful than the knees for the first couple of weeks. Overall, it was not a bad experience, and my new shoulder works great.
