Has this ever happened to you?

Your sitting in your recliner at night watching TV and you catch yourself dozing off so you decide to go to bed. Then once you get in bed you are all of a sudden wide awake and can't sleep.

I have had hot chocolate, hot milk, chamomile tea - and found it doesn't help when it comes to sleeping it. Either I'm still awake when I get into bed, or I sleep for a couple of hours or so and then wake up unable to get back to sleep.
I finally go downstairs and make myself a cup of tea and then I find I feel a little more relaxed even though it has caffeine in it. Reading a book does help me to nod off though.

@Jemimapuddleduck Hot chocolate has caffeine in it too. A friend of mine is very sensitive to it.

@ArtieKat Yes it does, and it's odd these are supposed to be bedtime drinks. But then it's the chocolate that just feels so comforting to drink!

@Jemimapuddleduck That is very good advice. Thank you very much.
