I have had hot chocolate, hot milk, chamomile tea - and found it doesn't help when it comes to sleeping it. Either I'm still awake when I get into bed, or I sleep for a couple of hours or so and then wake up unable to get back to sleep.
I finally go downstairs and make myself a cup of tea and then I find I feel a little more relaxed even though it has caffeine in it. Reading a book does help me to nod off though.

@Jemimapuddleduck Hot chocolate has caffeine in it too. A friend of mine is very sensitive to it.

@ArtieKat Yes it does, and it's odd these are supposed to be bedtime drinks. But then it's the chocolate that just feels so comforting to drink!

@Jemimapuddleduck That is very good advice. Thank you very much.
