Are there any options out there I may be eligible for?
Im currently 5 months pregnant and living with my father. My boyfriend/baby father moved in 3 months ago and he’s constantly talking about how much he wishes we had our own place. He compared a lot to what others have and what he wants. I don’t blame him I honestly feel the same way but don’t complain as much because at least my father has been kind enough to let us stay here. Anyways, I’m just wondering if there any state (Texas) benefits or ways to work the system and get our own place. We have a dog and cat that we would ideally like to take with us do an apartment isn’t the most exciting idea. I’m already working two jobs and have spent the last 5 months saving but it’s still not enough. My partner isn’t even able to save due to large debt he’s accumulated. He’s a barber so income isn’t consistent or stable. But my two jobs bring in about $45,000 after taxes. I would say he makes minimum $30,000 a year but no more than $40,000
