I really think how we view people is how we actually view ourselves

I think it's a bit more complicated than that so I think it's kind of a half truth in regards to people with a very victim mentality but not all the way true. If you grew up in a part of a third world where prostitution of children were legal and you were sold as a child, then your only experiences of people would just be that and you would develop your experiences and views based around that.

If you were part of a country that had a tourist trade in a predominantly black country where citizens live well below poverty levels and it's mostly a white tourist rich trade where none of that money goes to citizens but to the tourism industry, you'd also have different experiences.

You got to remember that for every person has a good or bad side. One person may be great to you but they could be a villain to someone else and could be the same to you. Sure, I think some of the hatred that one may have to you personally would be totally unjustifiable, some people just want to bully others but you can't tell me that at least some fights that you've had wasn't because of something you did, we all do things to someone at some point in our lives.

If you're surrounded by strife, you only have output that others give you so I feel like this isn't 100% true though it is true for certain personality types.
