@Musicman Being a 100% out of my own pocket expense I really cannot answer that question, All the carpentry and insulation I do myself. I have all the lighting and electrical supplies, but I am not an electrician. I built all my vanities and set them in place, and I have all the bathroom fixtures. I just need to buy the plumbing supplies as far as Pex and piping, gas line, and AC lines. So, it is a slow and go.
@Musicman Oh, absolutely of the 1536 sq ft of the ground floor, half of it is the master suite. The closet is bigger than most standard bedrooms by itself as well as the master bath.
@Musicman Thank you, I figured if this was my dream home on my farm then it will dang sure be my dream home exactly the way I want it. I had someone else here on a different post say it was too much wood for them and why did I not use plaster or drywall. I said Hey you buy the whole place from me at my price, and you can do it the way you want it. That ended that.
@Musicman Yeah, and I hate it. especially in the plaster and sanding phase. I would rather put on a mask and put-up insulation. The boards I am using are 10% Kiln dried poplar boards, cut put up, and stain if I want.
@WillaKissing There is nothing wrong with wood. I was just asking. The most drywall I have ever hung and finished was 153 sheets on one job. I definitely don't want to do that daily. Lol!!
@Musicman Heck no, Dry wall as it is flimsy and breakable but cut it and it gets 10 Fold worse, then hang a picture or for me say an animal mount from fishing or hunting or even a shoe rack for heels the dry wall does not have the holding strength and you are always patching it of searching for studs to anchor your hangings upon. Then putting up a dry wall ceiling is definitely a two-to-three-person task. Shoot my board won't break or anything even if I drop it. And it holds wherever anchored too/from You know the deal.
