Would you consider yourself to be an interesting person?

I don't think I'm as engaging or captivating as I could be.
Growing up I was very shy and still am to this day.
I have hobbies and interests but none I've been able to share in a group setting.
Large groups of people make me nervous as hell. Especially when it comes to juggling the various personalities.
So I often take a back seat and let them monopolise each other.

Not particularly. A handful of people probably find me interesting, but I don't think most people do.

You sound like someone who's very easy to be around, someone who's pleasant and low-key. I'd much rather associate with someone like that than an interesting, "life of the party" type.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Rutterman thank you. That's kind to say
For those who share the same interests, values, thought processes, yes.

But if with interesting you mean extrovert-life-of-the-party, then I’m definitely not that.

I usually enjoy one on one conversations with people I find engaging, rather than to socialize and talk to everybody in a group setting.

No I’m quite boring I don’t know how family and friends tolerate my presence for more then a few moments actually
Pfuzylogic · M
It all depends if I am comfortable in the group. I think when anyone is relaxed and accepted that we are inherently interesting.

@icedsky oh wow!!
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@icedsky they're really cool 😎😊 thank you for sharing...
I can relate to pretty much all of that. I’m still rather reserved and uncomfortable among large groups of people. Certain topics can draw me right into a conversation—once I’m comfortable with the other speakers. My friends have known me for so long they sometimes forget that I’m quiet with strangers.
@Mellowgirl Several of the people with whom I joke here I’ve been speaking to for around ten years, some even longer. 😊
tindrummer · M
@bijouxbroussard I think if we had lunch together real life we would both enjoy it. 🤗
@tindrummer Agreed. 🤗

I am an introvert with limited hobbies and interests. I am a minimalist.

And I do share thoughts with people who are willing to spend time and energy to invest in good connections.

One damn good connection is a billion times better than a million connections with few messages / thoughts shared.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
No, but I feel I could be, to the right people.
I don't mesh well with large groups either.
Same here, my hobbies aren't popular. Seems like only going out and drinking and twerking are acceptable
Yes I am. I’ve had some different experiences other people tend to find interesting. However I’m already bored of! 🙃 adhd life.

Nor are the engaging people you refer too!

And with everything else on this post, you're getting better!

No I'm rather boring and I get tired of people easily. 🤷‍♀️
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Lilymoon Yea that can happen. I mean a lot of our interactions are quite superficial. You have to really want to engage with someone to make it work.
Lilymoon · F
@Mellowgirl Yup, exactly.
akindheart · 61-69, F
i have most definitely had some excellent adventures
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
I can be interesting, but I’m mostly a little boring.
jennyCook · 22-25, F
I think I am but you would have to ask others
DunningKruger · 61-69, M

Torsten · 36-40, M

Fascinating lol

I let other people have the final say, but yes, I do think there's something here.
