Generally, people don't want the truth. They want to be inflamed, they want to react and they want the drama that goes with it. They're going to believe about you whatever makes them feel self righteously inflamed.
And the people directly affected by what you're supposed to have done end up going in some form of victim mode. Generally, with exceptions of course.
In that premise, you can speak your truth till you go blue in the face and no one will care. Everyone has their own agenda in what they want to hear. And it is nothing resembling the truth.
So I've dropped the notion of wanting to be heard or understood.
