By not allowing it. I don't know what your circumstances are, but if you can take yourself away from somewhere or away from a person who is or might abuse you, that's the best way to escape abuse.

@PhoenixPhail what i'm get'n at, is that she may not be able to leave - financially - so she may have to put up with the abuse
