What do you feel when you are in love?

To me is a atmosphere like outside of my head that I can't stop thinking about. For example thinking of her a lot and it produces an aura.

Looking at it after a 66-year marriage --
I read that the "faling in love" feeling lasts about 36 months.
I had the usual feelings, including thinking I could never be happy without him. We married before the 36-month period was up, and our years were full and overflowing with raising our kidlins and seeing they were properly cared for.
Meanwhile, we loved each other. But as the years went by, we learned another kind of love. Deeper, Different. Much more true. Absolutely unconditional. Neither of us was married because being with the other gave us happiness. We were married because of unconditional love.

@Beautyisamonstrosity There are different kinds of being in love. There is the weak kind where you feel that you can't live without him and the things you get from the relationship, and the unconditional kind where you want to do everything for him that you can, no matter what. And many stages between.

@bijouxbroussard @Beautyisamonstrosity The love of later years was much more satisfying.

@Beautyisamonstrosity I will just say that there is nothing more important to me than Love. Some people call it God's Love. Some people call it God. Some people call it Jesus' Love or Christ's Love. Other folks call it other things. It's what's behind the unconditional love learned in a good marriage. By whatever name, I want more and more of it.
