Are you scared of affection?

I am. I feel there's always an ulterior motive behind that. I've always known that people are nice in real life when they need something in return.

It's either out of pity or because they need something.

Not really affection, more likely intimacy, closeness and commitment. When the person tries to get too close to me too soon and pushes their reality into my reality making me feel as if I owed them something and as if someone threw a cage on me or tied me to them. I like affection but I need my own space too.
