I suppose I’d have to find a hotel room, or sleep in my car.

Vaccination papers and ID just to go into a restaurant, or anywhere. That has to be a HIPPA violation, but the authoritarians are in charge. Fortunately, I don’t live there, but I do live in a far-Left place, which could implement the same here. If they do, I may have to head back to Texas. @Stereoguy

@Carissimi Now you know why it’s called the Empire State. (It’s like the Star Wars Empire but the theme song sounds like CNN)

I moved here from Jersey a year ago. I got used to the heat and humidity quite quickly, In fact it feels good to have a healthy sweat every day. I love it here. Endless summer is awesome! Move soon. The property values here are skyrocketing. @Carissimi

I know. I’ve heard there are conservatives in the state too, but I’ve only met two that I know of. @stratosranger

@Carissimi I am centrist with a right leaning. I love my guns, I am OK with LGBT and weed is fine by me. I despise the far left and the far right. I like DeSantis. It’s a refreshing change here to live in a state where I am not regarded as a criminal just because I believe in 2A and don’t care if someone smokes weed.

I lived for 20 + years in Texas. I could not enjoy my summers, and had several episodes of heat exhaustion. Now, I’m up north where winters are long and brutal. I would love to find a happy medium. I’ll probably stay unless something amazing happens, or the SHTF, and the state goes overtly tyrannical. @stratosranger

@Stereoguy so is the panhandle

@Stereoguy For the first time in my life I am in a place where every morning I wake up I thank God I am here. And it’s been a challenge. It flooded last October. The roof in the lenai needed a 2500 repair, the AC a 1500 repair from lightning and now a group of palms with mushroom rot needed to be cut down. Don’t care. Still love it here.
