Sometimes the little things can make you happier than you thought they could 🙂

A couple months ago my shower head mount broke. I think it’s the same one that was installed 40 years ago when my little abode was built, and it finally gave out. I tried to repair it, but no joy. I jury rigged it and basically had it hanging by a hair tie and just lived with it. Finally, the other day I got tired of dealing with it and got a replacement shower head unit, which I installed yesterday. This morning’s shower was a thing of joy…a nice even spray with none of the holes intermittently giving water and a good pressure to it, and best of all, no more trying to get the spray directed from a finicky mount. Funny how much joy the little things can bring sometimes 😂
I can relate. I lived in this apartment for 7+ years and for six years I privately whined about the lousy water pressure in the shower. Dribble dribble.

Then one magical morning I discovered a little kinda wheel on one side of the shower head. I turned it.

WHOOSH! It almost stung.

It hadn't been failing me. I was strangling IT.
@lifesatrip I don't deserve them back.

@Mamapolo2016 I’m glad you found a fix! In my case I was just holding off due to a combination of laziness and the mind set of ‘mend and make due’ I was raised with, lol
@Zaphod42 I have that same mindset.

"Use it up, wear it out, make do!"

Ours died in similar fashion about 15 years ago, it was probably equally as old.

We had a dog at the time and I reasoned with my partner that we should get a fancy detachable sprayer one so we could bathe the dog easier.

While that kind is cheaply made and don't last nearly as long, it was SO worth it for the dog.

@Starcrossed The original in mine was a detachable sprayer type, so for the dog I got another detachable one…just a necessity with a dog I think 🙂
Yes, it is the little things that enrich one's life.

That's awesome. Yes, I have found that to be true.
