You could be blabbering about something you think you know a lot about, and the person on the listening end would just smile.

It could be because they don't know much about the topic, or it could be because they actually know more about the topic and thinks you're an idiot.

Sometimes, it's the latter but with added fondness because they love you even if you're an idiot. Lol

But sometimes, ignorance is just amusing and you really just can't help but smile as an experienced expert listening to the innocence of a novice.

I have fallen on both shoes, I think. Being at both sides make me reminisce with fondness haha.
