Don't be the girl

..in fear of showin' up in the same dress as another
girl at the pageant.

Be the girl that helps her fix her crown and never let's the crowd see its broken.

YES. I actually get excited seeing a woman in the same clothes as me. I'll joke about it and act like it's the worst thing ever (because being dramatic with flair is fun💁🏽‍♀) but it actually makes me happy for them because that's what girlhood/womanhood is to me. Seeing women feel good about how they look and sharing that with them like we would when we were kids

@HijabaDabbaDoo This part.

Just way too much catty superficial drama that goes on between women.

We share dna. Why they call it sisterhood.
@Punxi I think insecurities run differently between men and women but men do it too, the competitiveness channels differently. Patriarchy just happens to tell us that women hate each other more than men do. That isn't true. I won't be giving in to a narrative that denies me of like minded people that understand me

@HijabaDabbaDoo I read The Social Sex by Marilyn Yalom. The history of female friendship. She gives light to primal instincts cohesive to women depending upon men more for survival in the stone age where as competition may have been quite fierce among females.

But I concur. Men certainly express this same behavior perhaps for far different reasons and in different ways.
