Most of my life, seriously though, I got into a serious but bad relationship when I was 18, did nothing for myself but everything for him for 6 1/2 years! I should have gone to college and travelled. Then I had a baby with my rebound from that relationship, that ended when she was 2, got married a year later to an alcoholic, left him after 5 years. Again haven’t gone to college so still working shitty jobs. Had a baby with my rebound from my marriage and that ended when he was 1 (that guy was a dick and started bullying my daughter so out he went. Was a single mom for years (I still am) had a couple relationships in there, one got really serious we lived together for a couple years, turns out he’s a covert narcissist. 🤦🏻♀️
Having said that, I FINALLY went to college when I was 43 for the career I have now. Should have done it when I was 22 and I bought a house that I would have owned outright by now.

I had an abusive one before I married, I thought I was ok, I really looked at his behaviour, he was a covert narcissist and they hide it well, I didn’t know at the time he was a compulsive liar.
I didn’t really know anything about them until I was looking up his behaviour, my sister in law could see it and pulled me aside, opened my eyes up.
I hope you’re healing and well done on going to college and buying a house. 🤗

@SW-User ya they are good at hiding it! That ex was the one that had me dig into that too and my mind was blown with all I learned! So many good therapists on YouTube of all places. I hope you’re healing too. I haven’t bought the house quite yet, waiting for the prices to come back down. ☺️
