How much ambition is "too much" for you?

I used to think I was super ambitious, but after being around people who are like that 24/7 thanks to going to an elite school, I've realized that I just like to pursue things I'm passionate about, but am definitely not ambitious to the point of being the "best" or wanting to make a lot of money at the expense of my happiness/wellness.

I like ambition, it would be nice to have ambitious people in my social circle so long as it isn't toxic ambition in the sense that it makes the person feel they above everyone else.
