My tree agate stones are fakes!!

I bought them 3 years ago from a gemshop and i used them to help alot of plants grow, or so i thought... But they are just ordinary stones dipped in glossy paint made to look like the real thing, this is affecting my mental health right now.

The tree agate stones don't occur naturally in South Africa so these stones you buy here are imported.

So if you are buying crystals or minerals that do not occur naturally in your country be aware of fakes, maybe buy a small one and smash it open first to see if its the same material all the way thru, Temu, Amazon i'm looking at you..

@WowwGirl thank you, i have alot of crystals at the moment already and they do well for gridding etc, i was just super dissapointed to realise this. But its common with agate stones, we forget to look for the banded lines and imperfections when we buy them.
