What is the line between confidence and arrogance/narcissism?

Seems like a lot of people are told to be more confident, but I see a lot of shows of confidence being met with accusations of narcissism and arrogance. How can you be confident without taking it too far? What's the perfect amount of confidence?

People who confuse confidence with narcissism don't really know what narcissism is.. Narcissism is more to do with the need for a person to be the centre of attention.. The need to be No1 in the esteem of every one in their life..
