My mental state has been improving

Apart from brief flashes while I was sad after my cat died, I haven't had suicidal thoughts in quite a while. I haven't even been depressed all that much and have been feeling pretty positive about myself and the world lately.

I don't know if anyone is interested in my updates, I just want to let the people who do know I'm doing well :)

@Mamapolo2016 it really feels good! I seem to feel best when I'm relaxing at night, the closer to bedtime I get the better I feel. But that positive attitude tends to influence me during the day too now which I'm glad for.
@KiwiDan Lack of proper restorative sleep can result in both physical and psychological problems.

@Mamapolo2016 and I definitely wasn't getting that for a long time. I may still not be, but it sems to be a little better
@KiwiDan I said that because although I had no clue, when my husband Tim said, “You need to see a doctor. You have sleep apnea.” Even though I thought he was daft, I made an appointment and was scheduled for a sleep test.

When I saw the doctor to find out the test results, he showed me the chart. During the test of 5.1 hours, I had woken up 526 times because I had sleep apnea and had stopped breathing.

Seriously, most people don’t know.

@Mamapolo2016 I only ever wake up once or twice per night
@KiwiDan I didn’t know I was waking up either. I truly had no idea. It’s not full consciousness. Your body realizes it’s not breathing and forces a level of awake to gasp for breath. It’s interrupting REM sleep, and if it happens often enough, you are getting NO restorative sleep.
