I used to be really flowy , had spiritual beliefs around energy/one-ness, causation and into subjective reality, or rather, subjective experiencing of reality like.. navigating different operating systems. I was a minimalist. I traveled around a lot. I used to be really into the soulmate-y type masochistic beliefs about love and relationships.
The idea of making/having money used to make me uncomfortable.
I’m still philosophical, but now I'm an atheist-ish (it’s more of shrug ) I’m still chill, but I have a lot of stuff to do each day, which is all pretty important to me, so not so flow-y anymore. Definitely more rooted/structured.
My kid ruined my minimalism 😆
I don’t believe any ethereal storylines about human relationships, nor romanticize/make excuses for dysfunctional BS.
I’m chill about money now and I don’t let people try to make me feel guilty for finally not being poor anymore

@popmol nah, I was never much of a hippie. More like Buddhist-ish. As for the masochistic relationship stuff. There are so many damn unhealthy messages about what it is to be loved and in a relationship that get passed around in movies, TV, songs try to convince people that it’s not real love if there’s not a bunch of bullshit periodically making you miserable; between generations, and friend circles projecting on yo each-other that non-fucked up happy healthy is a myth or would be boring or if you’ve been through a lot only someone else who also wears their trauma could connect to you,; and the manipulative lovers preying on others’ lack of self-love.
My issue was i’ve been through a lot, so I i’d fall in love with people who would also been through a lot. That wasn’t really the problem so much as the false belief that if I really loved someone I would let them put me through hell because otherwise I didn’t love them unconditionally or wasn’t being compassionate enough, which meant it wasn’t ‘true love’. I didn’t know that ‘intense connection’ (insert whatever BS about soulmates or they understand me like no one else ) was actually just trauma bonding or them hitting all the right buttons for self-worth issues I hadn’t worked through yet. 🤔

like i'll believe the trains are running tomorrow is not like "believe in a god"
personality opinions life experiences and such if i want to take that all in one thing i'd say the soul or the colloquial sense of "heart"
