I Am Battling Self Harm

*Sits in a corner slowly burning the word "IDIOT" into my thigh with a soldering iron and crying*

I see not many have responded. I’m sure that’s not because they don’t care. But because they simply don’t know how to help. . .
And really; I don’t either because I am not in your situation. Nobody can ever truly understand exactly what someone is going through until they walk a mile in the other persons shoes.

But I’ll give it a shot in the dark; after all, I’ve seen a lot of very dark times, experienced a lot of loneliness from a lifetime spent alone, and have learned to be happy as I grew threw the darkness into the light. You can too, but you need to stop letting your mind run wild.
Stop the negative self-talk in your mind. Start thinking of yourself as worthwhile; forget about what “you think” others think about you. None of that bullshit really matters! Negative thoughts are like dark shadows, ghost haunting you as long as you let them. . .
As long as you have breath, then use that breath to find something good about yourself and about others. . .

Oh yes, , , and now it’s time to direct your attention to the elephant in the room;
the thing that will make the biggest difference in your life if you let it. . .
Stop thinking about yourself so much, and focus your attention on helping others. . .
Think of how you can be helpful, be kind, compassionate, and lift others up. It will take time, but after a while of thinking along those lines, you will be amazed at what kind of person you become. You will like yourself, and others will like you also.
Stop being preoccupied with thoughts of yourself, and start thinking of how you can help others. You will never be sorry. . .

@AlphaPuppy: lol
@Vigggr: Understanding and compassion for others does not come natural to most men. It’s something that comes through experiencing hard and dark times and growing through pain into maturity.

Viggr, you have probably never had a reason to feel mental anguish or despondency in your short life; that’s good, because I can tell you from experience they’re not pleasant.
But don’t think your luck will hold out forever; lessons in empathy and compassion come to those who need them the most.

There are many invisible and unexplained laws of nature that your 20 years on the planet has not taught you about. Be cautious that you do not attract the attention of Karma. For if it finds you need to grow in the understanding or empathy; sometimes the growth lessons in life can be painful and quite out of our control. . . Just sayen. . .
