I Am Battling Self Harm

I leave to be a camp counselor this summer. i’m going to have to be in a bathing suit a lot of the time. i’m so worried for my scars on my thight. im also worried about the scars on my arms and shoulder, but those arent nearly as bad as my thigh. and i’m worried that i’m going to cut at camp and not be able to hid it well. idk. its gonna be rough.

Maybe you shouldn't be a camp counselor in that condition? Wait till you recover? No offense. I saw a girl working at a truck stop register with scars all over her arm once.. Kids will notice and ask questions not to mention everyone else..

Usually when people do that they have underling issues of abuse or something. You need to get help imo deal with your cause so you can get better (whatever issue drove you to that)

@SStarfish i don’t even really want to do it, but the deal with my therapist and parents is if i work at camp, then i can go to college, but if i dont do camp, i cant go to college for another year. it really sucks

@SStarfish yupp :/ messed up right? i kinda hate her for it. like shes a great therapist and helps me in a lot of ways, but i just feel like shes making the wrong decision on this. for months when i’ve seen her i’ve full on cried because of the idea of going to camp
