I Hate When People Say Self Harm Is Beautiful

Self harm is a problem that affects people across the world. It is a problem, not something beautiful or something to be proud of. People turn to self harm when they have nowhere else to go, they’re crying out for help but when people start glorifying and glamourising it people who need help can’t get the help that they need. Self harm isn’t beautiful because it leaves ugly scars and horrible memories etched into your skin, each one bears a memory of hatred and total sadness. By saying that it’s beautiful it’s encouraging people to do it, many people who self harm think that they’re ugly so if self harm is beautiful it can lead them to think that it will make them beautiful.
