You can, and probably should share it with her, but it appears she is in denial. We mothers tend to feel guilty if our children have emotional problems. It must be something we did wrong. If only we were better, they would too. So, denial is our emotional shield. It would probably help you both if she could just realize that this is not her doing. It is a chemical thing in our brains. Or if it really is caused by our past, then it's time to get over it and help instead of hinder. Guilt is a terrible master. It leaves us feeling powerless.
