I Need Someone to Talk to

My feelings are mixed about this situation.
My friend got a call today at a job interview she did yesterday and advancing to the next round. She's a teacher and so round 2 means you do a lesson and the principal and assistant principal watch you teach the class for 1 period.
While I'm happy she's advancing, I don't want her to get the job. I don't wanna be selfish but there are a lot of unfinished business here at the old job that she has and a lot of the students depend on her. For her to leave them... It's just a disservice to them. And on top of that, I need her here too. She's been my guide as I enter teaching and without her I'm lost.
I always support her and she's my best friend but I Hate that I feel this way. I'm just not ready for her to leave me or any of our students just yet. I just feel like it isn't right.
I've been feeling this way since last week and crying all day and night. I fake a smile but I wish I could just tell her not to leave. Not yet.

A person knows when it is right to leave and to continue on one's journey. She is trying to get a job for her benefit. Time for her to move on. Try to be happy for her. Now is your time to step up to the plate and to be a leader. She gets to say what is and what isn't finished for her. You can still be her student. Tell her how you feel. And she will say how she feels too. Let this out in the open for your sake and for the sake of your friendship. Never be fake. Be you. And let her go if this is her time now.
