I Need Someone to Talk to

Anyone who’s over the age of 35 and has lived life to know what to say and how to advise me. Please :(

What seems to be the problem?

@TexasGrandpa life’s difficult. I mean, I know no one said it was going to be a smooth ride but, it’s something new everyday. I’m one step forward, two steps back. I have a monumental amount of responsibility on my shoulders and I don’t know how to abandon my life. I’ll let so many people down. I’ve never been selfish for myself. And it’s kinda very easy being this selfless. But it’s killing me mentally, emotionally and a physically.

Ok well lacking any specifics, I can tell you that life kind of flows like a river, sometimes the river is wide and slow moving and easy to ride, and then sometimes it's all rapids and rocks and white water and you just have to hold on for dear life.
One thing to remember, you are not responsible for everyone in your life. Protect and take care of those who are your responsibility, and let the rest fend for themselves....most of them will surprise you and make it.

@TexasGrandpa I’ve attempted to let those fend for themselves and it was horrific. I can’t even put into words how incompetent they can be. I’d rather have control so that I don’t feel guilty for neglecting them.

You can't save everyone else if you let yourself drown in the attempt. You need to find someone who can advise you, likely a professional with whom you would feel free going into specifics. Look out for number 1 and then perhaps you can help others.
