Strawberries, pineapple, or other fruit. Or popcorn or yogurt…whatever you like.

@NativePortlander1970 I made chocolate chip cookies but used wheat flour instead of GF flour. Trying to stop eating snacks with sugar in them is why.

@Musicman Winco had them for $1.25 each, limit 2. And strawberries for 99 cents a box, limit two. I cut up one pineapple and we’ve already eaten it and still need to do the other one. Asked the boy to get more pineapple and strawberries, they weren’t the same price but still decent price and he got one of each.

@cherokeepatti I knew a guy from Samoa in Las Vegas, he said the best pineapples come from China and the Philipines and the smaller ripe ones the sweeter

@cherokeepatti Our strawberries are buy one container and get the second one free. You definitely have the better price. I usually buy our pineapple already cut up. I don't know how much a whole one is.

@Musicman A local chain had an anniversary sale a couple weeks ago and had them for 99 cents a box, I bought 3 that time.

@Musicman I miss the Oregon strawberries we used to pick ourselved, and blackberries off the bush? 😊😋😛🤎 We even had a cherry tree in our back yard that our dog would get on her house and pick off one by one, spitting out the pits.

@NativePortlander1970 I miss picking wild dewberries. They are a sweet large blackberry. I used to pick and freeze them, make cobblers or eat them fresh. In Missouri just about everyone who had a garden would grow strawberries. They tasted a lot sweeter than store-bought ones. But what I really like was finding wild strawberries one time in the village we lived at one year. They were in an empty lot. It took about 15 minutes to pick a handful. So much flavor and they were tiny. And I found a huge wild cherry tree next to a farm road one time. Picked and ate so many of them. Not as sweet as commercially grown cherries and they are tiny, about half seed. So much flavor. Pretty sure they are healing as well.
